Don’t you love those mini snack peppers you get from the store? Did you also know commercially grown peppers are one of the most sprayed vegetables. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to grow your own. We have done this for several years now. And it’s a fun project for the kids once they are finished snacking on their thoroughly washed peppers 🙂
All you do is scatter some seeds in an about 1 inch of seed starting mix and cover them with just a sprinkling of the mix.
Keep the top of the soil moist and covered until they germinate.
Peppers do take longer than most to germinate so just be patient.. you should see them peeking through in about a week, give or take.
Then transplant them and keep them under grow lights. We have done this for several years, and they produced all summer in the garden. Lots of healthy snacking! 🙂
