It happens, you have some old sourdough that’s sitting on your counter getting stale. We don’t ever waste good food if we can help it. This is our absolute favorite way to use up stale sourdough bread. Nutritious and filling food in our tummies, and not in the trash is always a win! Here’s the recipe:
Sourdough French Toast Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- butter for frying
Instructions
- Wisk all ingredients together
- Melt butter over a large skillet
- dip bread and soak on both sides
- Fry until golden on both sides
- Serve with butter and maple syrup
